Julia is a passionate and accomplished pianist based in the Washington D.C. area and New York City. She is currently pursuing her M.M in piano performance at New York University, under Ms. Eteri Andjaparidze. As Adjunct Faculty at NYU, Julia teaches private lessons and applied music theory courses. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Music from the University of Maryland on a full-tuition scholarship, under Dr. Larissa Dedova. She grew up in Maryland and has been playing piano and violin since she was 8.
A natural performer, Julia’s performance venues include Carnegie Hall on both piano and violin, Steinway Hall in NYC, Strathmore Mansion, Catholic University in DC, Conservatorio de Música in Puerto Rico, Rockville Steinway Piano Gallery, solo Degree Recitals in UMD’s Gildenhorn Hall, American University, Washington College, and more. Julia is a 2-time winner of the Rockville Competition for Piano and Strings. At UMD, Julia has performed in Divisional Recitals, Masterclasses and showcases. She was selected in 2024 for the prestigious Steinway Spirio concert, where her NYC performance was SpirioCast onto a piano at UMD.
Julia is an active collaborator and chamber musician; she currently serves as the orchestra pianist for both NYU and the Broadway Bach Ensemble, and she recently served as collaborative and orchestral pianist for the National Music Festival in Chestertown, Maryland. She is particularly passionate about vocal collaboration, and has played for voice lessons, juries, and recitals at the University of Maryland. On violin, Julia performed with Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras (MCYO) for 7 years.
